Buenos Aires, December 6 (NA) -- As part of the state structure reform package, the National Government has finalized the decree that defines the powers, attributes, and composition of the new National Migration Agency.
According to journalist Ignacio Salerno, the decree aims to transform the agency into a more effective tool for border control and the management of migration policy.
__IP__Structure and Operational Capacity According to the Argentine News Agency (NA), the Government has ruled out that the reform implies the creation of a new federal force, but the modification aims to provide the Agency with direct action tools:
Operational Capacity: The goal is to transform the body into a structure with its own operational capacity. Expulsions: One of the main objectives of the reform is to allow Migrations to carry out expulsions of immigrants with alerts, records, and irregularities.
The decree, which, along with other reforms, awaits the signature of President Javier Milei, seeks to align the migration control policy with the Executive's security agenda.
